Audience Moved By The Untold Story Of Afrobeats In Journey Of The Beats At AMIAF 2023

The recently concluded ArtMiabo International Art Festival (AMIAF) 2023 was a resounding success, with art lovers from across the globe coming together to celebrate African art and culture. One of the highlights of the festival was the exclusive screening of Journey of the Beats, a docu-series that tells the untold story of Afrobeats.

“Journey of the Beats” is a Showmax Original doc-series that follows the journey of Nigerian and black music through the years, with a focus on the origins of Afrobeats. Produced by creative entrepreneur, Obi Asika, the ten-part documentary series features music historians and some of Nigeria’s biggest artists, including 2Baba, P.Square, Onyeka Onwenu, Daddy Showkey, Flavour, and D’Banj.

Thanks to Showmax’s partnership with AMIAF 2023, festival attendees were treated to an exclusive screening of the first episode of “Journey of the Beats.” The audience was hooked from the start until the end of the episode.
